Iranativu residents oppose Covid-19 burials.

A group of residents of Iranativu has commenced a protest against the decision to bury remains of the Covid-19 deceased, in the island.

Citizens have also issued a public appeal urging to reverse this decision, and according to social media reports, there are reports of civilians filling up graves dug by the Navy, for burials.

Yesterday, the government announced that the Iranativu Island has been identified as the site to conduct Covid-19 burials.

However, it was earlier stated that authorities were looking into a deserted island for the purpose.
